One of the great joys about performing for a HUGE variety of types of audiences, is getting to know people and then working together to have an amazing time! Being a mentalist for college and high school events has become one of my absolute favorite niche performance areas because these are usually audiences just WAITING to have fun!
Think about it. It’s Student Orientation. You’ve met your faculty advisors, planned your courses (sure, Friday 8 a.m. Calc was a great idea!) You’ve just sat through an hour long presentation on the proper use of your meal plan swipe card. It’s a worst-case-scenario of profound boredom. You’re then ushered into the school theater for the surprise of the week– a cure for boredom– a recipe for engagement and fun. It’s my show.
